The panel
What does the Protoflow Supplement Facts panel say?
Serving size 2 capsules, 30 servings per container, 14 actives, 1,619 mg per serving.
The Protoflow supplement facts panel is the legal record of what a serving holds. US rules require a serving size, servings per container and each dietary ingredient with its amount (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36 (Supplement Facts)). Here the serving is two capsules, and a bottle of 60 holds 30 servings.
The directions read: "As a dietary supplement, adults take two capsules daily with water." Tap a spot on the image, or read the transcript beneath it.
Tap a number to read that part of the label.
- Suggested use
"Adults take two capsules daily with water." One serving, once a day. No time of day is printed.
- Caution

- Storage

Line by line
What is in each Protoflow serving?
Vitamin E, niacin, eleven herbs and inosine: 14 lines, from 250 mg down to 13 mg.
Every active line has a printed amount, so the label hides nothing in a "proprietary blend". Per capsule, each amount is half of the figure below. Only two lines have a Daily Value: vitamin E and niacin. The rest carry the footnote "Daily Value not established" (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36 (Supplement Facts)).
| Ingredient | Amount | % Daily Value |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin E (as D-alpha tocopheryl succinate) | 13 mg | 87% |
| Niacin (vitamin B3) | 75 mg | 469% |
| Hawthorn (fruit) | 250 mg | * |
| Epimedium sagittatum (whole plant) | 250 mg | * |
| Damiana (leaf) | 200 mg | * |
| Muira puama (root) | 200 mg | * |

| Tribulus (fruit) | 120 mg | * |

| Saw palmetto (fruit) | 84.5 mg | * |
| Inosine | 50 mg | * |
| Oat straw (stalks) | 32 mg | * |
| Cayenne (fruit) | 20 mg | * |
* Daily Value not established. Amounts add up to 1,619 mg. Read each herb on the ingredients page.
Daily Value
Why is niacin 469 percent of the Daily Value?
Because the Daily Value for niacin is only 16 mg, and a serving holds 75 mg.
Niacin shows 469% DV because 75 mg is about 4.7 times the 16 mg adult Daily Value (NIH ODS, Niacin). A Daily Value is a label yardstick, not a safe limit. The limit is a separate number: 35 mg a day of niacin from supplements, which two capsules exceed by more than double (NIH ODS, Niacin).
Flushing is common from about 30 to 50 mg. Do not stack it with another niacin or B-complex product. See side effects.
Vitamin E is the opposite. It shows 13 mg, 87% DV, far below the 1,000 mg upper limit (NIH ODS, Vitamin E). In the SELECT trial the risk rose at 400 IU a day, far above the label amount (Klein et al., JAMA 2011 (SELECT)).
Other ingredients
What are the other ingredients in Protoflow, and does it contain soy?
Rice flour, gelatin, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, soy protein concentrate and water.
Yes, Protoflow contains soy. Soy protein concentrate appears on the other-ingredients line, and soybeans are one of nine major allergens named by the FDA (FDA, Food Allergies (major allergens)). The label has no separate "Contains" statement, so the ingredient list is the only warning.
Gelatin is the capsule shell. It comes from animals, so the capsules are not vegetarian or vegan. The label lists no wheat, barley or rye.
Tap a number to read that part of the bottle.
- Cap and seal
A white screw cap. The label warns against using a bottle whose safety seal is damaged or missing.
- PROTO FLOW ring
The product name inside a green ring. The sales page and this site write it as one word: Protoflow.
- Three front lines
"HIGH POTENCY" has no defined meaning. "DAY & NIGHT FORMULA†" and "OPTIMAL FLOW SUPPORT†" carry the FDA dagger.
- Dietary supplement
The legal category. Supplements are not approved by the FDA before sale.
- Side panels
The label wraps around: directions and the distributor on one side, Supplement Facts on the other.
The vendor's black "Vegetarian" roundel conflicts with the gelatin shell.

Is Protoflow vegan, vegetarian or gluten free?
Not vegan and not vegetarian. Gluten free is claimed by the sales page and not shown on the label we read.
The sales page and the label disagree in four places. The label wins, because it describes what is in the bottle (Protoflow sales page).
| Topic | Sales page | Label |
|---|---|---|
| Ingredients | Names 8 | Lists 14, adding vitamin E, niacin, ginkgo, tribulus, inosine and oat straw |
| Vegan | "Non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free" | Gelatin capsule, so not vegan or vegetarian |
| Fillers | Free of chemical coating and non-essential fillers | Rice flour, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin |
| Gluten | Gluten-free | No gluten grain listed; no gluten-free test shown |
Not printed
What does the Protoflow label not tell you?
Who makes it, where, which niacin form, and whether any lab tested a lot.
The label names a distributor, PhytoThrive Labs of 19655 E 35th Dr #100, Aurora, CO 80011. It does not name the maker or the country of manufacture.
- The form of niacin: nicotinic acid or niacinamide (NIH ODS, Niacin).
- Any extract ratio or marker compound for the herbs; only the plant part and weight appear.
- A lab report. No certificate of analysis is published, and the lot codes are seller references, not lab proof.
FDA does not approve supplements before sale (FDA, Dietary Supplements Q&A). Read how to judge a batch on the testing and quality page.

FAQ
Protoflow supplement facts, short answers
01What is the serving size of Protoflow?
The serving size is 2 capsules, taken once a day with water. Each serving holds 14 active ingredients totaling 1,619 mg. A single capsule holds half of every amount on the panel.
02How many servings are in a bottle of Protoflow?
A bottle holds 30 servings. The label lists Servings Per Container as 30, and a serving is 2 capsules, so the 60 capsules last 30 days at the label dose.
03Does Protoflow contain soy?
Yes. Soy protein concentrate is on the other-ingredients line, and soy is a major food allergen (FDA, Food Allergies (major allergens)). There is no separate "Contains" line, so people with a soy allergy should read the ingredients or skip the capsules.
04Is Protoflow vegan or vegetarian?
No. The capsule shell is gelatin, which is made from animals. The sales page says "Non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free" and the vendor sells a vegetarian badge, but both conflict with the label.
05Is Protoflow gluten free?
Probably free of gluten grains, but unproven. The label lists no wheat, barley or rye. The gluten-free wording comes from the sales page and a vendor badge, and we found no test result behind it. Celiac disease needs a doctor's view.
06Why is niacin 469 percent of the daily value?
Because the adult Daily Value for niacin is 16 mg and a serving holds 75 mg (NIH ODS, Niacin). That is also over the 35 mg upper limit for supplemental niacin, so flushing is possible.
07What are the other ingredients in Protoflow?
Rice flour, gelatin, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, soy protein concentrate and water. Gelatin forms the capsule, and the soy protein is an allergen.
08Does the label list a proprietary blend?
No. Every one of the 14 active lines has its own printed amount, so nothing is hidden in a blend. The label still gives no extract ratio for the herbs or the form of niacin.
