Is Protoflow Vegan? The Gelatin Capsule vs the Sales Page
Protoflow is not vegan. The label lists gelatin under other ingredients, and gelatin comes from animals, so the capsules are not vegetarian either. The sales page says "Non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free", and a vendor badge says vegetarian, but the label wins. Vegans and vegetarians should skip this bottle.

Is Protoflow vegan or vegetarian?
No, Protoflow is neither. Its other ingredients are rice flour, gelatin, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, soy protein concentrate and water.
Gelatin is made from animal collagen, usually from skin or bones. The label does not say which animal.
The 14 active ingredients are plants and vitamins, but the capsule that holds them is the problem. See the full list on our supplement facts page.
| Diet | Fit | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Vegan | No | Gelatin is an animal product |
| Vegetarian | No | Gelatin comes from animal parts |
| Soy-free | No | Soy protein concentrate is listed |
Why does the sales page say vegan?
The sales page says "Non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free". For vegan, that line is wrong when read against the label.
We cannot say why the two disagree. The wording may be a template reused across products. A vendor badge also calls the product vegetarian, and it conflicts in the same way.
The rule on this site is simple: the label wins. FDA does not approve supplement labels before sale, so the firm answers for them (FDA, Dietary Supplements Q&A).
What the label supports
- Plant-based active ingredients
- No milk ingredient listed
What the label contradicts
- "Vegan": gelatin is listed
- Vegetarian badge: gelatin is listed
How can you check any supplement for gelatin?
Read the other ingredients line, which sits below the Supplement Facts panel (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36 (Supplement Facts)). Gelatin or "bovine" and "porcine" wording means an animal source.
Capsule shells are often not named at all, so some labels hide the answer. A true vegan capsule is usually listed as cellulose, HPMC or pullulan.
Front-of-bottle badges are voluntary, and no certifier is named for these. Our testing and quality page explains how we weigh each one.

FAQ
Protoflow diet questions
01What is the gelatin in Protoflow made from?
The label does not say. Gelatin is made from animal collagen, usually from cattle or pigs, and sometimes fish. Because the source is not printed, anyone avoiding a particular animal product should ask the order desk before buying.
02Can I take the powder out of the capsule to avoid gelatin?
The label gives no such instruction, and the powder inside still contains the other listed ingredients, including soy protein concentrate. Opening capsules also changes how you take it. Choose a different product if animal products are the issue.
03Is the vegetarian badge on the sales page a certification?
No. It is a vendor graphic, and no certifier is named. It also conflicts with the gelatin on the label. Treat it as decoration, not proof, and rely on the ingredient list instead.
